LANDSCAPES

 KAGGA KAMMA

Kagga Kamma is the name (probably from the Khoi) in the Karoo area of the Cape Province - actually n the Koue Bokkeveld ( untranslatable).

Landmarks of this area are these exceptional rock formations.  This one is my favourite, but there are other very beautiful formations and many of them.

Water is always difficult to paint - or at least that is what all artists hear when the begin - it could be all in the mind.

To paint beautiful landscapes is my dream.

I just listened to Sachin Tendulkar speaking after he hit his hundredth hundred - the first cricketer in world history to achieve this.  He said 'dreams still come true.  Follow your dreams'.
 VICTORIA WATER FALLS

It is about impossible to capture this mighty water feature in paint.  Unbelievable to behold - majestic.

What amazed me is the flimsy poles and wire hedge in front which purpose is to keep people falling down.  It seems to work...

Another Victoria Water Falls effort portraying the ever present rainbow.

MISTY MOUNTAINS

A clip of the majestic Drakensberg in  Natal.
Drakensberg can be translated as Dragon Mountain.
